" Per les llibertats i la democràcia al món àrab: No a la guerra a Líbia"

"For freedom and democracy in the Arab world: no war in Libya"

On 17 December 2010 a young s'immolava Tunisia in an act of desperation, symbol lack of future expectations, then Since something is changing in the Arab world. These changes are occurring in greater or lesser extent in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Bahrain, Algeria and Morocco among others.

there common elements that have made these facts: lack of freedoms, corrupt governments, inability to build democratic states, worsening economic and social conditions and lack of prospects for the working people and youth. There have been governments that have received the support of the historic Western powers (EU and U.S.) for geopolitical reasons, economic (oil and gas) and on the pretext of combating international terrorism.

In Libya, the violent and repressive response of Muammar Gaddafi to the legitimate aspirations for freedom, in line with national and democratic revolutions in other countries, has led to a serious internal armed conflict.

EUiA solidarity with the struggle of the Libyan people, in favor of freedom, democratic reform, economic and social as well as the end of the authoritarian regime of Libyan Gaddafi. EUiA request that conditions be created for an end to violence, a ceasefire and the beginning of a dialogue that responds to the aspirations of freedom and democracy of the Libyan people.

EUiA us declare in favor of peace and full respect to life and the rights of all Libyan citizens, without foreign intervention, which only serve to prolonging the conflict. As we said in the resolution of 24 February "we support the struggles of Arab citizens who struggle to detach themselves from imperialism and its national and democratic aspirations.
EUiA opposes any military intervention in Libya, such military interventions have been shown to behave worse consequences, especially for civilians, as in the cases of Iraq and Afghanistan. We oppose the installation of an air exclusion zone, which we understand as a previous step military intervention. EUiA solidarity with organizations on the left and Arab political and social struggle that have defined as a recent meeting of the Arab Forum of the Left meeting in Beirut said the task forces left Arabs are reinforced and strengthen the revolutionary movement that is experiencing the region.
