Remembrance and Solidarity: Exposure Presas de Franco a Mollet
Through pictures and documents, some of them sound, the sample Presas de Franco reconstructed microcosm female prison between 1936 and 1945. The exhibition can be seen from next Tuesday sunday during day 12 to April 17. in Room Fivaller Rambla de Mollet del Valles.
Presas de Franco, organized by the Catalan Association or Investigacions Marxists, not only includes photographs, many of them unpublished, but also documents in women's prisons throughout Spain during those years.
Thus, through MP3 players can hear the voices of those women and, thus, the sum of image, sound and text, the viewer can enter in this microcosm and understand what they were hundreds of political retribution.
The exhibition is divided into seven parts: The galleys of women, punishment, children in prison, prostitutes, work, resistance and memory.
The target set by Franco dams is to "continue rebuilding a period of contemporary history marked by the trauma and terror of the Civil War."
